Terms.
The rules for using skyetalk., and how moderation works.
01Who can use it
You need to be at least 16. Rooms marked 18+ are for adults only. Guests can join rooms; an account adds a reserved name, a profile, friends and direct messages. Creating an account means you accept these terms.
02House rules
- Be kind. No harassment, threats, hate or discrimination.
- Nothing illegal: no content that harms minors, no doxxing (other people's private details), no spam or scams.
- No sexual content involving minors, ever. No pornographic content, also not in 18+ rooms. 18+ rooms are for adult topics and rougher language.
- Respect "no". Do not keep messaging people who block you or ask you to stop.
- Do not pretend to be someone else, and do not try to get around a mute or ban.
03What you write
Everything you type in a room is shown to the others live, while you type. You are responsible for what you write and upload (name, picture, bio, emotes in your text). Only upload pictures you may use.
04How moderation works
- Automatic: a word list hides certain words from others. Repeated hits lead to a warning, then a mute, then a ban, step by step; 18+ rooms use a less strict list. These decisions are made by the software without a person looking first.
- Reports: anyone in a room can report a seat, members can report direct messages. The team looks at every report.
- The team can warn, mute, kick from a room or ban, and remove parts of a text. You always see what happened, for how long and the reason.
05If you disagree
Think a mute, ban or removal was wrong, or the software got it wrong? Use the Appeal button on your screen, or write to [email protected] and say what happened. A person from the team looks at it and answers.
06Reporting illegal content
Use the Report button on the seat or message, or write to [email protected] with where you saw it (room name, time) and why it is illegal. You get an answer once the team has looked at it. If someone's life or safety is in danger, call the emergency number (112) first.
07Verification by video
- You can ask the team to verify your account with a short live video (Settings > Profile). Only record yourself, live, with your own camera. Someone else, a photo, a screen, an edited or generated video, a virtual camera or a filter that changes your face is not allowed. If the team finds that, they decline, can take a granted verified mark away again and can treat it like any other breach of these rules.
- While you record, your device checks whether you did each move; the server then checks the video again and estimates an age range from it. Both are only hints for the team: a person decides, and the age estimate is not an age check.
- The verified mark says that the team saw a real person behind the account. It says nothing about name, age or identity, and nobody can claim one.
- You can withdraw your video until the team has decided; it is deleted then. What is stored and for how long is in the privacy policy.
08Your account
You can download your data and delete your account at any time in Settings. What is stored and for how long is in the privacy policy. Guest identities that are not used for 180 days are removed automatically.
09No guarantees
skyetalk. is run for free and as it is. It can be down, change or end. The operator answers for intent and gross negligence; for everything else only as far as the law requires.
10Changes
When these terms change in a way that matters, members see a note in the chat. The date of the last change is at the top.
